Hello and welcome back to Investing After Hours — our Wealth Daily podcast dedicated to helping everyday investors navigate major investing trends. Our team of experts has specialized knowledge in a variety of investing methods.
And we broadcast this knowledge from our office above the Baltimore harbor.
I am your host Alexandra Perry, the research director at Wealth Daily.
Welcome to Episode 19: Briton Ryle Talks Retirement Dangers.
Let’s be honest, retirement is a tricky thing to navigate…
Many people opt for the simple 401(k) provided by their company, and others set up Roth IRAs independently.
Yet, regardless of how you’re preparing for your glory days, there could still be dangerous stocks lurking in your retirement portfolio…
When Brit came to me and said he wanted to make a podcast warning investors about retirement dangers, I was surprised. This isn’t a recommendation-focused podcast but, instead, a podcast focused on making investors (who are already heavily engaged in the market) aware of some of the lurking dangers in their portfolios.
Brit then explained to me that he’s seeing major trends in the market right now.
The increase in algorithm trading and ETF trading is signaling that our bullish market could soon be coming to a close. More importantly, a bullish market could hide bad stocks from investors — stocks that will likely dip dramatically in the coming years with the introduction of new technologies.
Brit shared with me how he believes that many retirement investors are in danger because of these stocks. The most distressing part is that very few actually understand the real risks that are hurtling down the pike.
In this podcast, we take a look at the market. And we dissect trends like ETF and algorithm trading increases.
Brit also shares some of his concerns about lurking retirement dangers that many investors just don’t know about.

Happy listening!
