'Always Low Prices'... for Homes, too?

It seems unlikely that Wal-Mart shoppers will throw a home or two into their shopping cart with cheap rice and toothpaste, but these are desperate times for desperate people.  Even real estate agents have to eat, right?

According to AZCentral.com, Phoenix’s Metro North Realty opened a sales office inside the Peoria Wal-Mart thanks to a major slowdown in real estate.  It’s one of a handful “across the country – with a contract allowing it to advertise and sell properties from within Wal-Mart stories,” said a Wal-Mart spokesman.

Sadder, an Arizona realtor hit the streets, carrying a sign that read, “will Sell You a Home for Food” with an offer to donate a part of his commissions to the Community Food Bank.  Here’s more on that story: http://www.azstarnet.com/business/216394
