Hello and welcome back to Investing After Hours — our Wealth Daily podcast dedicated to helping everyday investors navigate major investing trends. Our team of experts has specialized knowledge in a variety of investing methods.

And we broadcast this knowledge from our office above the Baltimore harbor.

I am your host Alexandra Perry, the research director at Wealth Daily.

Welcome to Episode 16: Investing in Bitcoin Through an IRA.

Last week, I had the pleasure of sitting down to chat with Chris Kline, the chief operating officer and cofounder of BitcoinIRA. You can listen to our full interview in the podcast link above.

For the sake of full disclosure, this interview was not my first time speaking with Chris.

We had chatted before after my colleague Jason Williams connected with Chris. Jason was initially skeptical of a Bitcoin IRA. We both walked away from the initial conversation being excited about the company and the kinds of investment opportunities that it offers for investors who are new to the digital currency space.

Put simply, BitcoinIRA is changing the way that investors approach traditional IRA investing. Chris and his team provide the guidance and tools that investors need for getting started in the digital currency space.

If an investor opens an account through BitcoinIRA, they can invest in a wide range of digital assets, including Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC).

Happy Listening.

Chris Kline

Chris Kline serves as cofounder and COO at BitcoinIRA. In his role, he is responsible for all aspects of the retirement investment company’s operations, partnerships, and product innovation.

Previously, Chris launched the Fortress Gold Group in 2012 and served as director of operations. Chris drove the operations strategy and execution that lead to the company becoming an Inc. 500 leading provider in gold and silver for IRAs. Following his success in precious metals, he was challenged to develop a way for individuals to directly invest in Bitcoin for retirement.

In March of 2015, Chris successfully launched BitcoinIRA, the world’s first company allowing investors to purchase Bitcoin for their IRA and 401(k) retirement accounts. He developed the process and partnerships to create a full-service, turnkey solution, allowing investors to capitalize on the rapidly growing digital currency market space for their retirement portfolios while also maintaining full IRS compliance. Under his direction, the company has grown to over $100 million in assets under custodianship.

Chris has also recently expanded the company’s product line to include offering Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) for retirement investment.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, he holds a degree in International Finance and Leadership. Chris resides with his family in the greater Los Angeles area.
