Invest in Wind Energy

How to Get a Piece of Your Own Wind Farm

Editor's Note: Renewable energy expert Jeff Siegel has just published a new report— Investing in Wind Energy — that puts the growth of the wind sector in full perspective.

You see, The American Wind Energy Association just released its annual industry report... and the results are nothing short of amazing. That's because the U.S. is now on a trajectory to generate a full 20 percent of our electricity from wind energy by 2030.

In Jeff's new report, he reveals the next order of business... and where individual investors will find the biggest profits. You can read his complete Investing in Wind Energy report here.

Now, more than ever, is the time to invest in wind energy.

Fresh off an Obama win, which will bring with it renewed energy policy and a new sense of energy responsibility, new renewable energy projects are destined to take root.

What's more, many of the related stocks have significantly sold off over the past six months to a year, and now offer attractive price tags.

GE (NYSE: GE), which is not a pure play but is a top five producer of wind turbines nonetheless, has seen its shares fall some 50%, from over $40 back in late 2007 to about $20 today.

Siemens (NYSE: SI), also not a pure play but a top five global producer of wind turbines, has lost about 50% of its value in the same time.

Vestas, the world's largest producer of wind turbines, is in the same situation.

But while the valuations of these companies have fallen, the forecast for the wind industry sure hasn't.

Invest in Wind Energy for the Long Haul

I've covered many of these statistics in various publications, but I feel they're worthy of a brief synopsis here.

  • The global wind industry grew 482% over the past seven years

  • It'll grow another 215% in the next five

  • Wind-generated revenues will exceed $30 billion in 2008

  • By 2018, yearly wind revenues will reach $90

Plus, the Department of Energy has said the U.S. could get 20% of its electricity from wind resources by 2030.

For that to happen, about $20 billion per year needs to be invested in wind energy, related products, and transmission upgrades for the next 20 years.

Buffett Loves Batteries

And so do members of Green Chip International.

Both took positions in a tiny Chinese battery maker. And both are up nearly 200%.

But just like the global cleantech market, this play is just getting started.

That means $400 billion will be invested in the wind sector over the next two decades!

Getting in now, while the wind industry is in its nascent stages, and holding on for the long-term, could be one of the most profitable investment decisions you ever make.

Consider this: At this very moment there are 755 wind farms in the U.S.

584 of them are active. 171 are either being planned or are under construction.

All of those wind farms currently make the domestic wind turbine market worth an estimated $5.54 billion. That's just the turbine market.

By 2012, it'll be worth about $18 billion.

And that's not including the transmission, towers, gearbox, cable, installation, and maintenance industries.

With Obama at the helm, and government and private investment at its back, the wind industry is sure to prosper for years to come.

So you need to be preparing your investments accordingly now.

Invest in Wind Energy: Get a Piece of Your Own Wind Farm

Considering all the wealth that is about to be created via the wind energy industry, I thought I'd put together a report describing exactly how you can claim your share.

It outlines exactly how you can profit from the wind industry by investing in three companies that each provide different yet vital products and services to the wind industry.

After investing in these companies, you'll literally be getting a piece of the hundreds of new wind farms that will be erected in coming years.

Here's how.

You'll have a stake in a wind turbine and transmission cable provider whose business will dramatically ramp up along with the use of wind power. This company currently trades for less than $1, but will rise much higher than that once Wall Street starts paying attention.

You'll also have a piece of Canadian wind farm developer that has projects both here in North America and across the pond in Europe.

Lastly, you'll be invested in one of the leading electric infrastructure companies in the world. They're providing logistics, constructions, and wind components like towers to companies across the globe. And they're wind business can only grow.

My full report explains it all:. How much the wind industry will grow. Vital wind industry information. And the companies you need to know about to start profiting today.
